Privacy Policy
Written to satisfy the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, and short because there is not much to describe.
Who answers for it
Marcus Reid, resident in Canada, publishes bexulmar.com and is the person accountable for what follows. Everything to do with personal information goes to [email protected].
The site asks for nothing
There is no form anywhere on this site. No sign-up, no account, no newsletter, no comments. You cannot give us your name here even if you want to, because there is nowhere to type it.
Two things that exist regardless
The first is the hosting provider's access log: an IP address, a browser identification string, a timestamp and a requested path. It is what keeps a website serviceable and lets a fault be traced. The second is your email, if you send one, which lives in a mailbox until the exchange is finished.
Why they are kept, for how long, and what is never done with them
Both are handled for a purpose a reasonable person would accept: keeping the page online and answering somebody who wrote to us. Logs are held no longer than the host's six-month window. Email is deleted when the matter closes, and within twelve months of the last message at the latest.
Nothing measured
No analytics package runs on this site. No advertising pixel, no social button, no font or script loaded from another domain. Because nothing measures, there is nothing to share, and nothing is sold, rented or traded. The host processes access logs for us under contract.
No marketing email
We do not send commercial electronic messages, so no consent under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation is collected or held. Any message from us answers one you sent first.
Once you leave for Google Play
Install links hand you to Google, whose privacy practices are its own. After the click we see nothing and receive nothing.
Asking, correcting, complaining
Ask what we hold, ask for a correction, ask for deletion — all by email, all answered within thirty days. Unsatisfied, you may take the matter to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, and if you live in Quebec, to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Local storage instead of a cookie
This site sets no cookies at all. One value is kept in your browser's local storage, described in the Cookie Notice.
